The Emadlangeni municipality warns the public of a scammer posing as municipal manager G.N. Mavundla.
The municipal manager’s email and phone number were hacked, and there are rumours that the person pretending to be the manager is seeking money from unsuspecting people in exchange for municipal services.
The public is warned not to respond to any emails coming from tobelanota6@gmail.com.
The municipality emphasizes that the municipal manager would never have made such approaches, and the public is advised to report this to the SAPS so that the necessary inquiries can be made.
