It has been reported that the following roads are completely congested:
- Standerton to Volksrust
- Amersfoort to Volksrust
- Newcastle to Volksrust
It is believed the community of Charlestown are protesting as a result of lack of service delivery, claiming they have not had any running water for days.
Emergency personnel continue to monitor the situation but motorists are urged to use alternative routes as the N11 will remain closed until further notice.
