One person has died and 19 others injured after a bus overturned on the R34 earlier this morning (May 7).
According to an official source at the scene, the bus was traveling from Utrecht to Newcastle when it overturned.
“When officials arrived at the scene, they found 19 people had sustained injuries, including three babies. Four of the patients had sustained serious injuries, while the rest had sustained minor to moderate injuries. One person was declared deceased upon arrival,” he said.
All patients were treated on the scene and then taken to the hospital to receive further medical attention.
The exact cause of the accident is not yet clear and will remain subject to further police investigations.
