Learners play their part in ‘Vryheid Cleaning Campaign’ initiative

Grade 7 learners at Victory Primary School cleaned up the block around their school.

The ‘Vryheid Cleaning Campaign’ has been up and running for the past few weeks.
Vryheid residents have taken this initiative to another level, waking up early every Saturday morning to clean up the streets. Many people have joined the ‘drive’ that was started by Ngcebo Nkosi and his partners. Even schoolchildren now clean outside their school premises.

Last week, the Grade 7 learners at Victory Primary School cleaned up the block around their school. They were accompanied and supported by their educators.
Nkosi is very proud of this gesture. Going on social media, he said, “One of the most important lessons life has taught me, and that everyone else should learn, is that you must never show off but rather show up. Do things that will inspire others, build an impression of hope, be an example of good doing, and promote a sense of doing well. The mission to clean up Vryheid must be done collectively, so roll up your sleeves, join the movement and be part of history.”
