Amajuba district municipality elects new deputy mayor

Cllr T.E. Mthembu of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) has been elected deputy mayor of the Amajuba district municipality following a council meeting held yesterday (21 February).

Cllr Mthembu takes over the position from Cllr Sibusiso Sizane (EFF) who resigned following the breakdown of the EFF/IFP coalition.

Cllr Sibusiso Sizane remains a councillor and an EXCO member in the Amajuba District municipality.

District Mayor Cllr uMtwana Ndabuko Zulu has congratulated Cllr Mthembu on his new position and wished him well.
