UPDATE: Flood victims find salvation at the Fairleigh Hall

Disaster management teams said all residents, who have been displaced as a result of the floods and who are struggling with temporary accommodation, are urged to make their way to the Fairleigh Hall.

A temporary place of safety has been set up at the Fairleigh Hall for all displaced victims of the flooding.

Disaster management teams said all residents, who have been displaced as a result of the floods and who are struggling with temporary accommodation, are urged to make their way to the Fairleigh Hall.

However, there is a need for food and warm blanket donations which can be dropped off at the hall.

Furthermore, Ashok Anandhaw, Chief Traffic Officer at the municipal community safety division is advising residents and motorists to avoid going to flooded areas as it is interfering with emergency personal attempting to reach these areas.
