Osizweni SAPS clamp down on drug dealers during weekend raids

All three suspects have been charged accordingly and will make an appearance in the Madadeni Magistrates Court soon!

Three suspected drug dealers are successfully behind bars after a weekend raid was conducted in Osizweni by members of the Osizweni Crime Prevention and the Amajuba SAPS District Office.

The first arrest was made on Friday, January 6, in Osizweni section A.

Upon entering the premises, SAPS arrested two suspects (22 and 25 years-old) for being in possession of seven parcels of powdered mandrax.

The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is around R1350.

Members then proceeded to raid a second house in section A, where they successfully apprehended a 23-year suspect for being in possession of three parcels of crystal meth.

The total street value of the drugs recovered is believed to be around R350.

All three suspects will are to appear in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court.
