Suspect nabbed for possession of illegal narcotics

A suspect was arrested for being in possession of illegal narcotics on December 24.

Led by Gen. Fred Alexander, the SAPS foot patrol, accompanied by the Newcastle Crimefighter Task Team and CPF members, said they spotted ‘suspicious activity’.

They tried to approach the suspect,who attempted to evade arrest by fleeing the scene.

Police gave chase and managed to apprehend the man.

Upon searching the suspect,police found 15 parcels of rock and 12 parcels of whoonga in his possession.

The suspect was charged for possession of drugs.”Well done to all members involved,” an official source commented.
