One person died and another was seriously injured after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a tree on Drakensberg Drive yesterday afternoon (December 13).
According to officials at the scene, it appeared as if the driver lost control of his vehicle resulting in the car hitting the tree.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the driver had sustained fatal injuries while his passenger was in a critical condition and needed to be transported to hospital for further intensive medical care.
The exact cause of the accident is not yet known and a police investigation is continuing.
