A car and a truck collided on the N11 at Albert Wessels Drive on Friday afternoon, injuring two people.

According to Jan-Henk van Vuuren of Magenta Medical Services, paramedics stabilized the man and a small child on the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

“Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution at this intersection, particularly during load shedding. The number of accidents at this intersection has increased dramatically in recent weeks,” concluded van Vuuren.
