I Matter Foundation celebrate people of short stature

Family, relationships, marriage, and children were among the topics covered in the seminar.

The first annual Short Stature Seminar, hosted by the I Matter Foundation and the Department of Social Development, celebrated people of short stature.

Family, relationships, marriage, and children were among the topics covered in the seminar.

Among the topics covered was how woman of short stature carry a baby to term, the challenges they face while raising their children and the impact of GBVF has on them.

Guest speaker, Sizakele Gumbi discussed the emotional abuse/trauma she endured after giving birth to her children.

“We also discussed opportunities for short people, and it was mentioned that there are some (opportunities), but most of the time, they lack the confidence to apply. We hope that this is the start of a great initiative, and we plan to hold this seminar every year to remember the little giants,” said the I Matter team representatives.
