Eight injured in Albert Wessels Drive crash

 The injured were stabilized on scene and transported to a local hospital for further care.

Eight people sustained injuries after a minibus taxi crashed into a traffic light on Albert Wessels Drive earlier this morning (November 6).

According to Jan-Henk van Vuurern of Magenta Medical Services, when paramedics arrived at the scene, they found that eight of the passengers had suffered minor to moderate injuries.

“Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported,” he said.

The injured were stabilized on the scene and transported to a local hospital for further care.

The cause of the accident is still unknown and a police investigation is continuing.
