NPC gives back during ‘Day of Doing Good’

A total of 115 volunteers would be giving up their Sunday to brighten up the school grounds.

A team of 115 volunteers gathered at Zamokuhle Pre-School in Madadeni on Sunday (September 11) to help with renovations, as part of the Natal Portland Cement (NPC) Corporate Social Investment Programme.

According to NPC’s Transformation Manager, Smangele Tshabalala, this annual project was manned by the company and aimed to better the lives of the members of their community. It is appropriately titled the ‘Day of Doing Good’.

After a lot of research and suggestions, we decided as a company that Zamokuhle was the beneficiary for this year’s initiative. It is a well-run school with more than 300 children who attend, and we felt they deserved the help,” commented Tshabalala.
