A ‘playground’ for vandalism and crime

The Crawford Street Park has fallen victim to theft, vandalism and crime.

When it first opened to the public, the Crawford Street Park was considered the pinnacle of young entertainment. Now the park is a silent monument to the effects of criminality and vandalism…

It’s a travesty to see what happened to this once-state-of-the-art play area!” remarked a disgruntled resident.

The resident said he used to take his grandchildren to the Crawford Street play park every Saturday and Sunday. Now he avoided the area due to the park becoming a ‘breeding ground’ for criminal activity and vandalism.

Instead of cheerful youngsters and the sounds of laughter, the park is now littered with broken glass and destroyed equipment.
