SAPS recovers R11-mil worth of stolen vehicles

Warrant Officer Rose and Sergeant Mncube recovered 78 stolen vehicles in the district since October 2021.

Newcastle SAPS Highway Patrol members, Warrant Officer Rose and Sergeant Mncube have successfully recovered 78 stolen vehicles in the Amajuba District since October 2021. The total value of all 78 recoveries is estimated to be R11-million.

According to Lizzy Arumugam of Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications, since joining the unit, these members have performed admirably and have gone above and beyond to ensure the quality of their work is up to par.

She further stated that they not only recovered the vehicles, but also made numerous arrests in housebreaking and murder cases.
