Another fatal shooting on Voortrekker Street
Sources have alleged that the 23-year-old victim was in a relationship with the gunman.
A young woman’s life was tragically cut short, after a fatal shooting outside a tavern on Voortrekker Street on June 30. The incident occurred shortly before midnight in the local CBD.
Sources close to the scene allege that the 23-year-old victim knew her killer. Residents believe they were in a relationship, which the victim was attempting to end.
Lizzy Arumugam, from Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications, could not confirm the allegations and said the case was currently still under investigation. No arrests have been made as yet.
