Newcastle model is fourth in Miss Grand SA

Although the competition was at times overwhelming, Sharnè kept telling herself that it would all be worth it.

In February this year, Sharnè Dheochand of Newcastle entered into in the Miss Grand South Africa 2022 pageant.

Through hard work and determination, she reached the pageant’s grand finale, which was hosted on July 8 and 9 in Secunda. To her surprise, Sharnè was recently announced as fourth overall, an accomplishment she takes great pride in.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of this extremely nerve-wracking but exciting experience!” said Sharnè.

Talking about her journey over the past few months, Sharnè admitted that a lot of hard work and preparation went into the pageant. Although it was at times overwhelming, the local model said she kept telling herself that it would all be worth it in the end.

I must admit the most difficult part was cutting down on the ice-cream,” she laughed.
