Business burglar is imprisoned

The man was found guilty of committing a business robbery in 2020

Justice was served when the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court recently sentenced a burglar to three years’ imprisonment.

The 25-year-old man was arrested after a business premises was broken into in January 2020.

“Men’s clothing was stolen. An investigation followed and the suspect was arrested. He was linked to the crime scene by means of fingerprints,” said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.

The accused made several appearances in court before the sentence was handed down.

The man was also found unfit to possess a firearm.
