Burst pipe leaking in Limit Hill since Sunday

Clean drinking water is being wasted at a time when some people are suffering with dry taps

A burst water pipe that has been leaking since Sunday (July 17) has Limit Hill residents up in arms with uThukela.

A homeowner who lives in Sixth Street said that his entire yard is flooded and his house has been damaged by all the water gushing out.

He has reported the matter to uThukela, but no workers have come to fix the problem. The Ladysmith Gazette ran an article on the leak in this week’s edition and it has still not been attended to.

In addition to the damage caused, the resident is also angry that clean drinking water is being wasted when some people do not have water at all.

At the time of publishing this article, uThukela had not responded to queries.
