Adding hope to care centre for Mandela Day

KFC area manager Vusi Thabede thanked KFC on behalf of Enhlanhleni for their constant support.

Enhlanhleni Care Centre residents were treated by Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) on Mandela Day.
A total of 120 children, including 35 children who are residents at Enhlanhleni, received KFC goodies for Mandela Day.
The centre consists of a feeding scheme, crèche, drop-in, as well as 35 residents.
“The 45 most vulnerable kids in our area, that we have identified, get mini food parcels every Thursday from KFC, as well as family food parcels every three months,” explained Lynette ‘Bobby’ Rolls.
She added that KFC has been sponsoring the centre since 2001 and it’s because of them that youngsters in the area get lunch and warm meals for supper every day.
KFC also sponsors school uniforms, winter clothing, summer clothes, as well as cosmetics for all the children at Enhlanhleni Care Centre.
“Thank you very much to KFC for making our Mandela Day,” concluded Bobby.
KFC area manager Vusi Thabede thanked KFC on behalf of Enhlanhleni for their constant support.
“It was good seeing the little smiles as we handed out the gifts, which were plates, bowls and spoons,” said Thabede.
