Local attends national mini-cricket seminar

Also present were Kagiso Rabada, Tazmin Brits, Temba Bavuma, Raisibe Ntozakhe and Enoch Nkwe.

More than 180 KFC Mini-Cricket volunteer coaches attended the annual national seminar, which was held at Sun City from July 11 to 13.

The event is open to volunteer coaches who have ‘gone above and beyond’ to help grow the KFC small cricket programme and Nashreen Nanan – a local cricket coach – was chosen as one of seven people to represent the KZN Inland region.

It was such an hour to have been able to attend this prestigious event once again. We were truly spoiled while we were there,” said Nanan.

She described this year’s event as a big one, as it was also the celebration of the programme’s 40th year.

The seminar was also attended by male and female Proteas, who inspired coaches by paying tribute to those who have contributed to the success of the KFC Mini-Cricket programme.
