Six people dead in crash
Motorists are advised to delay their journey until the road has been cleared
A fatal crash took place this evening (July 16) on the N11 heading towards Newcastle, just after the Elandslaagte turn-off.
Three vehicles collided and one of them caught alight.
The horrific accident claimed the lives of six people, including a baby. Aside from the fatalities, two passengers were seriously injured and rushed to hospital.
Alfred Duma Local Municipality fire-fighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire.

Public Safety and police are currently on scene and the road is closed.
The deceased have not yet been identified.
