Dundee crime briefs: Hijacking in CBD

Anybody with information concerning the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to contact their nearest police station.

The owner of a grey TSI Polo was hijacked outside Sanza Tavern on Friday night at about 22:00.

He was approached by an unknown man with a firearm, who demanded the car keys. Two more suspects approached the vehicle; they also had guns.

The hijackers drove off with the victim still in the car.

They drove to an unknown destination and dropped the victim off. He managed to get a lift back to Dundee, where he reported the matter.
Anybody with information concerning the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to contact their nearest police station.

A case of hijacking is being investigated.
