Community market for a good cause

Funds raised from this community market will support girls in need in local schools

Forderville Hall was abuzz with lots to see, do and eat on July 3 as a community market was held.

The aim of the community market, as explained by Ward 10 Women’s Committee member Firoza Khan, was two-fold.

“The market is fundraiser and also an opportunity for the home based businesses to sell their items. My idea is promote home based businesses,” she said.

Funds raised from the market will be used to purchase sanitary pads for schools in need and is not restricted to schools within Ward 10.

Sunday’s debut market was a success with 15 stallholders.
