Tigers roar with delight as mayor attends year-end function

Mayor Ndlovu presented trophies to the winners and congratulated the team on their fine performance, also wishing them well for next season.

Endumeni Mayor Siyabonga Ndlovu attended Tigers Football Club’s annual prize-giving and year-end function, which was held at Coronation Park on Saturday afternoon.
The team celebrated winning the Endumeni and Umzinyathi Premier League for the 2021/22 season.
Tigers FC did not lose a match and beat Arsenal in the final to advance to the inter-regional play-offs in Nquthu.
There, they won two games and lost one.
This was enough to advance to the regional finals on points. At the Umkhanyakhadi District Municipality play-offs, they lost their first match but won the others to book themselves a semi-final berth, where the team beat their opponents 3-2 in an exciting encounter.
The Tigers coach and management congratulated the players on an excellent performance and wished them well for the future.
The team had a celebratory braai at the prize-giving, which everyone enjoyed.
The ‘Rookie Player of the Year’ award went to Jabulani Ngwenya and Njabulo Ngwenya.
