A good night’s rest thanks to Gift of the Givers
The brand new beds were gratefully accepted by 60 recipients
A pleasant surprise greeted 60 needy people from Wembezi last Friday (June 24), when they were selected by Ithembalethu Outreach Project to receive a special gift.
Single bed sets, complete with pillows and comforters, made their way into people’s homes after being secured by the Gift of the Givers.
The residents who waited at the drop-off points to collect their new belongings expressed gratitude to Jaaved Khan and his team from Gift of the Givers.

The team also visited the Meyiwa family home in Wembezi. As a family of seven, the Meyiwa clan are struggling to cope financially and depend on the child support grants they receive.
The inclement weather has also battered their living spaces, causing large cracks and holes in their mud and steel structures. Water has thus been leaking in.
The family gratefully accepted the new items.
