Patient airlifted to Edendale Hospital

The chopper flew off with the baby girl on board in an incubator

A South African Red Cross Air Mercy Service (AMS) helicopter landed at Ladysmith Regional Hospital today (July 6) at about 10:10.

The chopper was here to airlift a patient to Edendale Hospital in Pietermaritzburg.

The patient is a two-year-old girl who requires additional treatment for a Lower Respiratory Tract Infection (LRTI).

The baby girl was transferred in an incubator and will be treated in the paediatrics ward at Edendale Hospital.
