Successful Royal Show for Weston

The school is proud to have won the prestigious 'Champion Animal on the Hoof' competition

Weston Agricultural College recorded excellent results in this year’s Steers Competition at the 2022 Royal Show.

The school is celebrating after winning the prestigious ‘Champion Animal on the Hoof’ in the competition. Weston was awarded the General Arnott Perpetual Memorial Challenge trophy, a Royal Show medal, rosette and sash.

The Grade 11 boys also brought home the following awards: best group of four steers, best halter trained steers under 400kg, best halter trained steers between 400 and 450kg, and first and second place in the best halter trained steers over 450kg.

A special thank you to Mr van Rensburg, as well as Mr and Mrs le Roux for guiding the Grade 11 steers boys in this unique learning experience.
