Youth Day sees multiple collisions

Youth Day started on a sad note when one person died in a collision at the Bloor River Crossing. This accident follows another recent accident where a person also died. It is alleged that the car skipped the stop sign and was hit by an oncoming truck. When KwaZulu Private Ambulance Services arrived at the scene, they found that one patient had sustained serious injuries while the other patient died before emergency services had arrived.

Later on the same day, another collision occurred on the R34 approximately 30km out of town at Lenjane. It is alleged that a car overtook two trucks on a blind spot and collided with an oncoming car. Four people with injuries ranging from minor to serious were transported to hospital.
