Burst pipe causes power failure?
Electricity supply to the affected areas is expected to be restored soon
Some parts of Ladysmith, including Hyde Park and Observation Hill, have been without electricity since this morning (June 24).
The reason for the power outage is that while uThukela District Municipality employees were digging to fix a burst pipe, they damaged an electricity cable.

Alfred Duma Local Municipality spokesperson Siyabonga Maphalala commented that they are aware of the issue and are currently attending to it.
Power is expected to be back on soon.
