Potholes at intersection anger motorists

Residents say they have to bear the cost of damages to their vehicles and this is unacceptable

The intersection of Delhi Road and Kandahar Avenue is the victim of countless potholes, and residents are sick and tired of this matter not being attended to by the municipality.

A local resident says the road has been in this condition for months, with nothing being done about it. ”We pay our rates, but still have to deal with this situation,” said the angry resident.

Motorists have commented that the potholes ‘disrupt day-to-day driving and we have to swerve all over the road, as we dare not drive over some of the gaping craters for fear of damaging our vehicles’.

When it rains, water fills the holes in the road surface and drivers cannot see them, especially at night.
