N3 closed due to emergency repairs

Motorists are urged to make use of alternative routes

The N3 highway will be closed between 09:00 and 15:00 today (June 21) due to repairs taking place.

Cars will be diverted via the R103 at the N3 Northbound Camperdown off-ramp (Exit 57) when driving towards Pietermaritzburg, and the N3 Southbound Lynnfield Park off-ramp (Exit 65) when driving towards Durban.

Substantial delays will be experienced due to stop/go’s on the R103 due to the emergency repairs.

Heavy motor vehicles are likely to be backlogged on the N3, both northbound and southbound, between the Camperdown and Lynnfield Park interchanges.

The closure may need to be adjusted depending on weather conditions on the day. If that happens, a second notice with information of the new times will be issued.
