Search for drowning victims unsuccessful

The search for two men who drowned at Woodstock Dam was unsuccessful and had to be temporarily called off.

The Ladysmith K9 Unit and Ukhahlamba Emergency Services responded to the scene today (June 20) and conducted a search for the bodies. However, nothing was found.

The search was ‘adjourned’ and is expected to resume tomorrow.

The men drowned in the dam on Friday (June 17) after their boat capsized. They were fishing at the time.
