Local dancers to compete in national competition

All the dancers who received a High Silver or Gold medal were chosen to participate in the national round that will be held during the September/October holidays

Stepping Out dancers took to the stage on June 11 in Newcastle to participate at the regional round of Talent Africa. Out of 100 dancers and models, on a small and slippery stage, the dancers did extremely well.

The results are as follows:

High Gold

High Silver

Nolitha Ndaba – Contemporary duet

Danika Erasmus – Acro solo

All the dancers who received a High Silver or Gold medal were chosen to participate in the national round that will be held during the September/October holidays. At nationals, there will be scouts from New York who will choose an international team to travel to the USA to represent the South Africa Talent Africa International team. “We are extremely blessed and grateful for these opportunities,” said dance teacher Marina de Beer:

“Thank you for always working extremely hard in class and believing in yourself like I do. I am extremely proud of each and every one of you. You prove to us that nothing will ever stop you and that hard work always gets rewarded. You are all superstars in the making,” she added.
