Madadeni SAPS Detectives are looking into a case of common robbery, following an incident on June 6 near Theku Plaza.
According to Lizzy Arumugam, from Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications, the victim reported that an unknown man grabbed her handbag. Inside the handbag were her cell phone and bank cards.
She later received notice that an undisclosed amount of money had been withdrawn from her bank account,” added Arumugam.
The matter is now under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact Madadeni SAPS urgently.
