The aim of the day is to raise funds to assist learners who are in need.

Volksrust High hosts Adopt-A-Kid Day –

Volksrust High School recently hosted its annual Adopt-a-Kid Day, in support of learners who face unusually difficult circumstances.

The classes competed with each other to see who could raise the most funds on the day.

The winners were as follows: 

  • Best dressed female learner – Michelle Mndebele
  • Best dressed male learner – Christiaan Coetzee
  • Best dressed teachers – Mari Visagie and Marika Rossouw
  • Best dressed class – Grade 10E1 as ‘101 Dalmatians’
  • Class raising the most money – Gr12 EC/UK
