Passion, dedication and talent at Derby Day

DHS is proud of learners who keep working hard to do what they love.

Dundee High School (DHS) travelled to Glencoe on Saturday to take part in the much-anticipated Derby Day of the year.
Athletes and coaches were both nervous and excited to have this day back after what has seemed like an eternity of Covid restrictions.
DHS are proud of their learners and what they have achieved. Thanks to all the coaches and pupils for putting lots of love and dedication into the sport that runs through their veins.
The school would also like to thank the many parents, old scholars and supporters who were on the sidelines to encourage the young sports stars – they appreciate it more than you know.
The scores were as follows:
Netball: DHS is extremely proud of their netball girls who won four out of five games. U/14 won 24-7, U/15 won 13-10, U/16 lost 4-14, second team won 25-6; and first team won 70-11 (undefeated for the 2022 season).
Girls’ hockey: Everything went well on the hockey fields, where DHS did not lose one game! An excellent performance from the girls, with three wins and one draw. U/14 girls won 6-0, U/16 girls drew 1-1, second team won 2-0, and first team won 3-1.
Boys’ hockey: the second team won 2-1 (well done to this team for being undefeated in the 2022 season), first team drew 1-1. The Chess Team unfortunately lost 5-4, but what a great day nonetheless.
DHS is proud of these learners who keep working hard to do what they love.
