WATCH: Fire ravages building at Wagendrift Dam

The fire had completely destroyed the contents in the building

The office building at Wagendrift Dam was completely destroyed by a fire.

The main office at the entrance to Wagendrift Dam went up in flames this morning (June 7).

At about 06:00, members of the Umtshezi Fire Protection Association were called out to help extinguish the fire.

When they arrived on scene, the fire had already destroyed the building.

“The building was completely gutted and majority of the blaze had burnt itself out, nothing could be salvaged,” said Umtshezi Fire Protection Association chairperson Warren Blaker.

The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated by authorities.
