No water for 3 days in Jansen Street

A burst water pipe has been discovered, which is thought to be the reason for the water outage

Residents in Jansen Street are up in arms with uThukela, as they say they haven’t had water since Wednesday (June 1).

They question how they are expected to survive without this precious resource. “Stepping into the weekend with no water is a crisis,” cried one distressed resident.

According to Cllr Thys Janse van Rensburg of the Democratic Alliance (DA), the matter has been reported to uThukela, but the water is still off.

A burst water pipe has been discovered in the area and tons of water is allegedly being wasted.
