Fire breaks out in Castle Road

No injuries were reported

A tin outhouse in Castle Road caught alight today (June 3).

Thick black smoke billowed up into the air as the fire damaged a car as well as the outbuilding. 

People who live in the area filled buckets with water to try and put out the flames.

Alfred Duma Local Municipality fire-fighters rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze. 

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
