Small town with big dreams on the dance floor

Stepping Out brought home five first place medals, one second place, three third places, one fourth place and one 11th place.

On Saturday, after two years of not competing in a big competition, dancers from the Stepping Out Dance Academy courageously competed in the World Lyrical Dance Federation (WLDF).

This was an international, high-standard competition with over 130 dancers taking part.

The local dancers did really well though.

Stepping Out brought home five first place medals, one second place, three third places, one fourth place and one 11th place.

The dancers then received amazing news from WLDF director Mary.

The following students were chosen as part of the WLDF SA team to represent South Africa in 2023 at the World Championships in Ireland: Megan, Mimi, Samone, Dane, Jiya, Lea and Tiffany.

“We are extremely proud of each and every dancer. We would also like to thank the parents for always supporting your children. We look forward to the rest of the year, with lots of opportunities ahead,” is the message from Stepping Out.
