Hello May by Halalisani Shoba

May this month bring out the best in your life.

Halalisani Shoba

We are already in the fifth month of the year 2022, I don’t know about you but I feel blessed to be alive and being able to do what I love.

I might not have yet achieved everything I want to achieve in my lifetime but I’m working towards that and I know that it is only a matter of time.

I strongly believe that “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity” How are you doing? How is life treating you so far? We fail to check on the well-being of each other.

In May we have “Workers day”, a day that is reserved for employees in our country.  I don’t want to say much about this day, but the government is failing us as citizens. Looking at the escalating cost of living, what is the minimum wage in South Africa? I am applauding the South Africans for their great “sense of humour”. Lately, I have witnessed that the unfortunate pricing of cooking oil has been trending on social media platforms. As much as it is frustrating that the cost of living is insane but it is heart-warming to see people openly joking about it. After all, someone once said ‘Laughter is the best medicine”- Trying to be happy is a good way to stop worrying.

This other day I was just thinking that at all cost we must rebuke the spirit of poverty. Poverty is nothing but a man-made occurrence. Every time we pray, we must pray hard against the spirit of poverty. Every time we work, we must work hard in order to overcome poverty in our lifetime.

May this month bring out the best in your life. Through it all, may you have the courage to keep ongoing. I know at times you feel like giving up, but such is never an option. Just hold on. It is very much possible to swim against the tide. Lonely hours, they come and go. May your God keep you. May your God protect you. May your God grant you serenity.

Yesterday it was emotionally rewarding to see people celebrating their mothers. I believe it is possible to reward our emotions in such a way on daily basis. Unconditional love must be a habit. May your day be filled with hope, love, and joy.
