52 golfers converged at the golf club in perfect conditions

Golf for the week began on Freedom Day, (April 27) with the Pick ‘n Pay sponsored better-ball competition.

Winners on the day were Shrey Harrynarian and Rajen Goodoon.

Dr Nkosinathi Khuzwayo is congratulated for his hole-in-one at Wednesday’s better ball competition. He is flanked by Ian Marx and Owen Mcluckie.

The highlight of the day was a hole-in-one by Dr Nkosinathi Khuzwayo on the difficult 12th.

Congratulations, Doc, on this marvellous achievement.

Golf for the week culminated with the HMS Family Day.

52 golfers converged on the golf club in perfect conditions to raise as much money as possible for the Estcourt Animal Shelter.

Winning the golf competition on 47 points was another doctor, this time Dr Gordan Chotu, and partner Sagie Pillay (looks like a week for the medical fraternity).

With the golf, auctions, raffles and player fines, R9750 was raised for our furry friends.

The tournament hosts, HMS Hardware and Builders Merchants, graciously donated R10,250, bringing the total donation towards the Estcourt Animal Shelter to R20,000.

Thanks to Kamy, Mayur and the entire HMS team for this gesture.

Once again, the club sends its gratitude to all our sponsors for their kind donations.
