Senior citizens work up a sweat

Club founder Bongeka Rubydaily Ndlovu organised the event for the aerobics club that consists of 80 senior citizens from Sithembile.

Senior citizens who are part of the #Ogogo base Sithembile Club had an aerobics marathon on Saturday from 10:00 until midday at Sithembile Park.
Club founder Bongeka Rubydaily Ndlovu organised the event for the aerobics club that consists of 80 senior citizens from Sithembile. Ndlovu invited two local fitness trainers to help the Gogo’s with their exercises. “Senior citizens also need to exercise and what better way to do it than in a rhythmic aerobic session that involves stretching and strength routines to help improve their fitness,” said Ndlovu. She thanked the sponsors who made the event such a success, namely Cllr Mbatha, Cllr Abdool, Slindile Lukhele, Thandeka Ndlovu (Social Development), Mbali Ngobese, Hlengiwe Khathi, Nompilo Mthembu, Ntombifuthi Makhoba, Makhosi Ndwandwe and Samkelisiwe Simelane.
The club founder concluded by congratulating the #Ogogo members for showing resilience throughout the workout.
