‘Game time’ after a long break

The learners now know that hard training will teach them new skills and their games can only improve

After a long break, Drakensview Primary School enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of rugby and netball with Bergville Primary recently.

As this was the first inter-school sport in a long time, there was much excitement among the players, learners and educators.

The fields had been prepared well and everything was ready for a busy afternoon.

Great sportsmanship was enjoyed on and off the field, and the excitement of playing matches far outweighed the disappointment of loss.

Well done to Bergville who gave a polished performance in each match to win by big margins.

The final scores were:

Rugby boys U/13: 0-45; netball girls U/13: 2-16.

The learners now know that hard training will teach them new skills and their games can only improve.

The game is on!
