Mhlungu family gets a newly built house

Cllr Abdool Mohammed as well as Cllr Sibusiso Mbatha and Cllr Gopie were there to welcome the Mhlungu family into the newly built home.

Duduza Care Centre built a home in Kunene Farm for the Mhlungu family who previously had been cramped in a one-room shack.
Gogo Mary Mlungu was elated when she was handed the keys by Maria Richards, a member of the Duduza Care Centre.
Gogo Mary lives with her four grandchildren one of whom is physically impaired as he is deaf.
The Mhlungu family was nominated by the Duduza Care Centre management as one of the ten deserving families that needed a house.
The house also has a Jojo tank to assist the family during water shedding. Cllr Abdool Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the Duduza management:
“I am elated about this project which assists needy families and I am happy that Gogo Mary and her family finally have a place to call home and this has bought so much joy to the family. We will be assisting with mattresses and blankets.”
