Sanele and Minenhle crowned king and queen

52 contestants took part in five categories, based on age groups

Sanele Mthethwa and Minenhle Masikane are king and queen!

This after winning their categories at the ‘Miss & Miss Ladysmith King and Queen’ event that was held at Mountain View Lodge last Saturday (April 2).

This year, the event had a total of 52 contestants in five categories, based on age groups.

Event organiser Ms Thobeka Mlotshwa said they are grateful that the event is growing.

“The number of entries we are receiving shows that the local youth are now keen to be part of competitions like this. The aim is to encourage them to stay healthy and also to promote education,” said Mlotshwa.
