Glencoe among top three finalists in ‘Dorp van die Jaar’

Voting lines will be open from May 1 to 6 from 12:00 (SMSs cost R1.50 each). Please all vote for Glencoe.

The Kraaines team in Glencoe entered the ‘Kwela Dorp van die Jaar’ competition and Glencoe is now among the top three provincial finalists from the KwaZulu-Natal region. Cherice from Kraaines explained that:

“I want to put Glencoe on the map! We have such a wonderful town, rich in history and with amazing people. People visit our town, more often because of small businesses that add to the charm of little Glencoe. “They travel to visit Economics, The Garage Café, our Spar complex, and Kraaines Interior & Garden Centre

. “The under-roof food market held once a month at Kraaines further adds to the charm of our town. With the help of the municipality and many locals, we hope to inspire other business owners to all revamp their buildings. The response, so far, has been very positive. “The aim is to include Uelzen, Talana Museum and so many more places so that everyone in our area can benefit and make locals proud of where they live.” The competition will be broadcasted on May 1 at 18:00 on KykNet (Dstv channel 144). Voting lines will be open from May 1 to 6 from 12:00 (SMSs cost R1.50 each). Please all vote for Glencoe!
