Potholes in Mysore Road cause consternation

Schoolchildren could be knocked over as vehicles swerve out of the way

A business in Mysore Road is up in arms about the potholes in front of their driveway.

According to employee Suresh Ramsubak, the matter has been reported to Alfred Duma Local Municipality, but nothing has been done.

The potholes make it difficult for staff and customers alike to get into the business premises. The business says they’re losing money because potential customers do not want to risk damaging their vehicles by driving over the hazardous potholes.

He says that the condition of the road is also dangerous for schoolchildren, as vehicles swerve out of the way to avoid the potholes. The children could be knocked over.
