Agra Road sewage woes continue

Residents are questioning when a TLB will become available to finally sort out the problem

A persistent sewage leak in Agra Road has residents fed up with uThukela. 

One resident says it has become unbearable to leave their doors and windows open because of the horrible stench that fills the air.

The sewer leak that is seeping onto the road.

The leak seems to have gotten worse… A huge puddle has formed on the grassy section at the side of the road. 

As reported in the Ladysmith Gazette of March 11, uThukela said they were aware of the sewage problem but needed a TLB to sort it out.

Residents are now questioning when a TLB will become available so that their lives can get back to normal.

uThukela communications manager Jabulani Mkhonza commented that they have not yet been able to secure the services of a TLB. However, he added that one may become available on Monday (March 28). They will then promptly attend to the sewer leak in Agra Road. uThukela apologises to the affected community.
